First Baptist Church
Serving at First Baptist
One of the primary ways of connecting into the life of First Baptist Church is to serve. Our desire is to help believers discover how God has uniquely wired them with gifts, talents and passions and equip them to magnify God by serving in their church, city and world. Our hope is that we would cultivate the same attitude described in Philippians 2:3, doing "nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility counting others more significant than ourselves."
As you feel led to call First Baptist your church home, service will inevitably become a part of your life's worship. We pray that, in serving here, God would mature and strengthen our gifts and create in us a servant's heart that would bleed into all areas of our life.
Permit God to guide you to the ministry in which He has created and designed you to serve. Don't be afraid to step out and try something new. He will always enable you to do what He calls you to do.
The following are some questions to ask yourself to determine if you are experiencing the life God has for you in serving His church:
- Am I willing to answer the call to ministry, even in the smallest of ways?
- Am I using my time and talents to accomplish the ministry God has for me?
- Am I living a life of gratitude by joyfully donating a portion of my time and talent back to God?
We encourage you to browse through the following areas of service to see if you might be led to join one of them.
Please take time to fill out our ministry survey and let us know what areas interest you. If you don't see a certain area add it in and send it to us. Simply click on the Ministry Survey link below and email it back to us.
